12/15/2020 Update

Dear Franklin families,

On Monday, December 14, the Franklin Governing board met to discuss how we will proceed in January of 2021. Although Jr. High will not be on campus through December 18, we will continue to provide in person learning for Kindergarten-5th grade students.

However, in an effort to keep our students and staff members safe and healthy after Christmas break, Franklin students will not return to campus until Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 due to the high number of Covid19 cases in Yavapai County.

During the two weeks that students will remain at home, all students will be provided with packets that will review concepts learned during the first semester. Jr. High students that are currently using powerhomeschool will need to email Ms. Fitch to re-enroll. Any Jr. High students wanting to go completely to our online program, will also need to contact Ms. Fitch. (beckyfitch@fppspv.net)

Beginning Monday, January 4th parents may pick up the review packets in the junior high office each week.  Staff members will be available to assist students in each grade level during onsite learning.  Click here for more information about the on-site requirements. If you need to request onsite support services during our two-week closure, please click here.

We appreciate your continued support and wish all our families a safe and healthy Christmas break.

12/2/2020 Update

Our school will continue to provide in-person learning.

Here is a letter from Franklin Administration. Students opting to stay home for the next 2 weeks will be getting absent packets or accessing assignments on Google Classroom. Please contact individual teachers for more information.

Jr. High students remaining online

We will be using an online program.

In order for your child to return to campus in person, we MUST have a waiver signed.

We now have 2 options for you to fill out the waiver.

You may print out, sign, and return the paper waiver or you may complete the On-Line Form Waiver.

The Mission of Franklin Phonetic Primary School is to prepare students with academic skills and personal attributes that will allow them to be successful in their future college and career choices. Students will be able to perform grade appropriate tasks in all academic areas.

Reading proficiency is strongly emphasized as it is the foundational skill upon which many other academic competencies are built. Our school strives to ensure that all children meet and surpass prescribed grade level expectations.

Children will learn to study, behave appropriately, and value learning as they are taught in an exciting, orderly classroom enviroment. By involving parents and including fine arts and foreign language instruction within the curriculum, the school strives to meet the needs of all students and please all families, including those who favor a more traditional approach to education.

Local Wellness Policy

*Under the Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001, Title 1 Schools are required to provide parent notification when a teacher does not meet the requirements of a highly qualified professional as outlined in NCLB legislation. While Franklin has never had to report employment of a non-highly qualified teacher, we do make information available to all parents concerning teacher qualifications.  If, at anytime, you wish to review the professional qualifications of any of our teachers or staff members, please visit the Jr. High office. We will be glad to direct you to the folder containing all of this info.*

Pursuant to ARS 38-431.02, Franklin School hereby states that all notices of meetings will be noted in the school newsletter and on this website. Such notices will indicate the date, time and place of the meeting. Meeting agendas will be posted in the office window at least 24 hours prior to meetings.

Dear Parents,
Staff resumes are available in a binder in the Junior High office for your viewing at any time persuant to ARS 15-341.
