Creative Writing, Yearbook,
              Creative Arts, and Calligraphy

Hello!  I'm Mrs. JoLynne Richter, and I love
to teach!  I'm from Colorado, but I've lived in
Prescott Valley for quite some time now.  I've
been teaching at Franklin School for awhile and
am really looking forward to this new school year.
Please feel free to check this site to find out
a little more about what we're doing in our
classes.
I will try to update the site once per week--
probably on Thursdays or Fridays.
Creative Writing:  We plan to do a LOT of
writing and editing, so we can enter several
writing competitions throughout the year.  The
students in creative writing have performed very
well in the last few years, with several students'
works winning local competitions, going on to
win further in regional competitions, and even
becoming locally published.
Yearbook:  We will work on getting our
2010-2011 yearbook completed.
Creative Arts:  I try to come up with fun and
useful projects which can be completed in one or
two sessions.  (We will probably need to ask for
donations of materials or money for materials
sometimes.)
Calligraphy:  We'll begin with the basics of
making beautiful alphabets, and then we'll work
at mastering the craft.  Each student will need to
purchase a special double-tipped calligraphy pen.
(I will acquire the pens at a reduced rate to save
all of us some money,)
Thank you for allowing your children to
learn with me.

       Again, I'm really looking forward
  to a great year!

Take time to see the beauty in everyday things.  The sunrise, the sunset, the eyes of a child are all  wondrous and beautiful!
