Dear Franklin Families:
It’s almost time to start our 2021-2022 school year! Enclosed you will find a calendar, classroom supply lists, and a copy of the dress code out of our Student Handbook to help with your clothes shopping. Teachers have updated the classroom supply lists, so please look at them closely. If you experience any difficulties locating any of the supplies, please do not worry about it as we will provide any supplies that cannot be located. You will receive your child’s classroom assignment for K-5th grade and/or schedule for 6th-8th grade students during the meet the teacher night. If there are any Jr. High schedule change requests after your student receives their schedule, please email Mrs. Goeke at kristigoeke@fppspv.net with your request. Drop off and pick up is still on the Northside of our buildings where the elementary office is located beginning August 17th. Gates will be open from 7:15 AM until approximately 8:15 AM and then they will be closed. Late arrivals after 8:15 AM will need to check in at the main office on the South side of our campus so our attendance will be accurate. The gates will be opened again at 11:30 for AM Kindergarten pickup. Drop off or pick up of students outside of the junior high office before or after school is NOT permitted due to safety concerns. Information about our after school clubs and tutoring will be disseminated at a later date however, these clubs and tutoring activities will not begin until August 23, 2021.
To avoid unnecessary interruptions once school has reopened we will not call students to the office from dismissal or class beginning at 2:45 pm Monday-Thursday and beginning at 1:45 on Fridays. If you need to pick up your child during that time, you will need to wait until your child is dismissed, sign in at the Jr. High office, and walk over to dismissal to pick up your child. We understand there are exceptions to this rule such as doctor appointments or emergencies.
Please be aware that siblings are welcome to wait until the release of your oldest child after school. We recommend that you do not arrive until 5 minutes after the dismissal of your oldest child to help ease the traffic congestion.
Breakfast and lunch will be distributed beginning August 2nd and breakfast and lunch will be FREE for all students enrolled at Franklin. K-5th students will have breakfast in their classroom from 8:00-8:15 and 6th-8th grade students will have breakfast in the cafeteria between 7:30-8:00.

The Mission of Franklin Phonetic Primary School is to prepare students with academic skills and personal attributes that will allow them to be successful in their future college and career choices. Students will be able to perform grade appropriate tasks in all academic areas.
Reading proficiency is strongly emphasized as it is the foundational skill upon which many other academic competencies are built. Our school strives to ensure that all children meet and surpass prescribed grade level expectations.
Children will learn to study, behave appropriately, and value learning as they are taught in an exciting, orderly classroom enviroment. By involving parents and including fine arts and foreign language instruction within the curriculum, the school strives to meet the needs of all students and please all families, including those who favor a more traditional approach to education.
*Under the Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001, Title 1 Schools are required to provide parent notification when a teacher does not meet the requirements of a highly qualified professional as outlined in NCLB legislation. While Franklin has never had to report employment of a non-highly qualified teacher, we do make information available to all parents concerning teacher qualifications. If, at anytime, you wish to review the professional qualifications of any of our teachers or staff members, please visit the Jr. High office. We will be glad to direct you to the folder containing all of this info.*
Pursuant to ARS 38-431.02, Franklin School hereby states that all notices of meetings will be noted in the school newsletter and on this website. Such notices will indicate the date, time and place of the meeting. Meeting agendas will be posted in the office window at least 24 hours prior to meetings.
Dear Parents,
Staff resumes are available in a binder in the Junior High office for your viewing at any time persuant to ARS 15-341.
