Every year Franklin staff volunteers put together a committee to plan and fundraise for the 8th grade trip. Students who cannot afford to pay for the trip themselves will be given many opportunities to help out at fundraisers to earn money to pay for their share. All students who participate will earn an equal share of the monies raised at that function and the money raised will be credited to a child's expenses.
If a student, who has raised money through fundraising, cannot attend the end of the year trip, then he or she will have the opportunity to gift their portion of the raised funds to a friend. Credit earned through fundraising will not be paid out to the student if not attending the trip.
